Out with the old...

For the last few months, we have been talking about getting new furniture in our upstairs living room. We spend 90% of our time in this room and when we have people over, that seems to always be where we end up (maybe because it's connected to the kitchen?!?!?!) So we finally went and bought new furniture, which just started the long process of getting rid of the old stuff and painting the room-which turned into re-painting our entire upstairs! We sold the old stuff, including the piano that my parents gave us a few years ago. That was kind of hard to get rid of, but it went to a family with 8 kids who have since sent me multiple e-mails telling us how much they enjoy playing and taking lessons. Aside from Jake twinkling the ivories every now and then, I think it's in a much better place! We didn't think to take "before" pictures, but trust me-it looks like a different house!
